Incorporating plants within your home

Updated: Jun 11, 2020

Plants are scientifically proven to support mental health

Plants are not just beautiful within your home; they generate a positive effect on your mental health and wellbeing. Plants release oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide, literally the opposite of what us humans do. These beauties freshen up the air within your home and also eliminate harmful toxins that may be floating around. It is proven that plants within your workplace or home reduce stress levels and boost your over all mood (Lee 2017). Plants also help ease loneliness and depression (Freed 2020). These little creatures need nurturing for them to live a happy and healthy life. By nurturing and caring for a plant, you are creating a healthy emotion to improve your own mindset. Studies have also proven that household plants improve concentration and productivity by up to 15% (Lee 2017). The colour green creates a feeling of balance and harmony, leading to a healthier mindset (Feed 2020).
